The first Bigfoot Jamboree was held in 1967.  It was started to give the Happy Camp community a reason to celebrate living in one of the most beautiful places in northern California.  Having Bigfoot as one of our neighbors, we decided if we named the event after him, he might show up.  So far, he has turned down our invitations but maybe this year he'll show himself.  In the meantime, the event has continued to grow each year and everyone who has attended the Jamboree has enjoyed themselves, hanging out with friends, family and the new people who join in on the fun.

Bigfoot Jamboree Committee

The Bigfoot Jamboree Committee is part of the non-profit organization Happy Camp Community Action, Incorporated.  As the event grew it became necessary in 2018 to create a committee to organize, promote and execute the event.  The six-member committee has no paid staff, but rather a team of dedicated volunteers who give generously of their time, knowledge and experience. If you would be interested in joining the committee or attending one of their, please email us.
